I am raising funds for Beatson Cancer Charity and I am participating in the walk a 100 Miles in October 2023 challenge. My goal is to raise £500 by the end of October.

My mum was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer in January 2023 and has undergone tough treatment from chemo to radiotherapy over the course of this year. She rang the bell in The Beatson in June following over a month of daily radio therapy sessions and after receiving her 3 month scans and endoscopy recently we were given the amazing news that her cancer has gone! I was with her everyday for treatments and appointments and the support that we both received was outstanding. The services we accessed are truly remarkable and I really don't know what we would've done without them.

For anyone who finds themselves or a close family member in this life changing situation, knowing that the Beatson Cancer Charity are there is such a comfort. Thank you for everything you did for us.
