Big Carr Gomm Challenge
Campaign by Carr Gomm (RCN SC033491)
For our 25th birthday, we aim to raise £25,000 so that we can run community projects and activities which give people opportunities to make new friends, feel connected in their community and boost their confidence.

Story

From Wednesday 20th to Sunday 24th of September I am walking 99km (probs in the rain!) along the Forth & Clyde and Union Canal to raise money for Carr Gomm.

Carr Gomm is a community development and social care charity working to reduce isolation and loneliness in communities in Scotland that I have been working for over the last six months.

Throughout this time, I have been lucky enough to see first hand the impact that our community groups like Craigmillar Community Grows & the Midlothian Music Group have on the people we support across Scotland.

I'm fundraising as part of our #BigCarrGommChallenge to raise £25,000 to keep our community projects going, so that the people we support continue to have access to fun, safe spaces to make connections and build up their self-confidence and skills.

It's a cliché but every donation counts and helps us to run our community groups. Please support me in my fundraising challenge and contribute whatever you can! <3
