Story
I honestly don’t have the words. I never imagined I’d reach my original target — let alone surpass it — and I’m so incredibly grateful for every single donation that’s got me here.
On the morning before the marathon, I’m currently at £3,950… which feels completely surreal.
So, one final gentle stretch: I’m updating my target to £4,200 to reflect the 42km I’ll be running tomorrow.
Thank you so much for being part of this — it truly means everything 💚

In 2015, I lost my wonderful dad to leukaemia (MDS tranformed to AML, an aggressive blood cancer). By the time we knew what we were facing, everything happened so quickly—we didn’t have time for donor matches or advanced treatment options. It still feels like both yesterday and a lifetime ago. I miss him every single day.
When he was first diagnosed and we began researching treatment options, we came across the work of Anthony Nolan. As soon as I learned about the stem cell register, I signed up in December 2013—hoping I might be able to help someone else’s family, even if it couldn’t help mine.
Now, 10 years on, I’ve been given the incredible opportunity to run the 2026 London Marathon for Anthony Nolan. The race falls on 26 April 2026—26 miles on the 26th in 2026—so I’ve set myself the goal of raising £2,600. Whether you’re able to donate £2.60, £26, or £260—every contribution, no matter the size, is deeply appreciated and makes a real difference. Every pound will go towards funding their lifesaving work, supporting patients and adding more people to the register.
I’ll be running every step of that marathon in my dad’s memory—and if you’re able to support me along the way, thank you so much. It truly means the world. 💛
Anthony Nolan is the pioneering charity that unites people and science to make lifesaving connections - matching stem cell donors to those in need of transplants and treatments and growing their world-leading stem cell register, so everyone can find the match they need.
