In March 2024, our family faced a deeply worrying time when our dad had a heart attack. Thanks to the brilliant and tireless staff at Conquest Hospital, he received exceptional care and has now made a strong recovery. We’re incredibly grateful, and we wanted to do something to give back.

So we (Kat and Alex), are taking on our very first half marathon, the Hastings Half Marathon on Sunday 5th October to raise funds for The Friends of Conquest Hospital, a brilliant local charity that supports the hospital by funding vital equipment and services.

Friends of Conquest Hospital plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care by funding vital new equipment to improve the diagnosis, treatment and care provided by the hospital. Every donation helps them continue this amazing work.

Any of the funds we raise will go towards providing life-saving cardiac equipment for the hospital, something that hits very close to home for us.

Training is officially underway! Kat has done a bit of running before, while Alex is more of a “fresh legs, big heart” kind of runner, but we’re both determined to cross that finish line together.
