Story
The New Ten Begins: 1,000m Sandbag Lunges
I did it! I successfully completed the main HYROX race in Rome on September 26th. Crossing that finish line was an incredible moment and a huge personal victory. I want to thank every single person who donated and cheered me on. Your belief in this cause fuels every step I take.
The Journey Isn't Over
While the original challenge is technically complete, the feeling of accomplishment and the power of pushing my mental and physical limits for Mind has inspired me to continue. The mission is still the same: to prove that movement is a powerful tool for mental well-being, and to raise vital funds for those who need it most.
I’ve decided to take on the remaining four core HYROX disciplines and complete them at 10 times the distance/reps—a new series of epic challenges that demand 'Mind Over Matter'.
The New Four Challenges
I will be tackling one of these challenges every two weeks, drawing the next one at random after I complete the current task. This new chapter will feature:
1,000m 10kg Sandbag Walking Lunges
10,000m Row
10,000m SkiErg
500m 102kg Sled Push
Next Up: 1,000m Sandbag Lunges
My immediate focus is on the gruelling 1,000 metres of Walking Lunges with a 10kg sandbag! This will be a profound test of persistence and finding strength when the burn is telling me to stop—perfectly embodying the 'Mind Over Matter' principle at the heart of my fundraising.
Please follow along as I take on this new chapter. If you've been inspired by the journey so far, your support—however big or small—will make a real difference to Mind’s life-changing work.
Thank you again for believing in the power of a strong body and a strong mind.
