Story
Our youngest daughter Heidi was born with a rare genetic condition that causes learning disabilities. For the last 7 years she has been fortunate to attend our local special school in Worcester, Fort Royal Community Primary School. She has had an amazing time there, surrounded by lovely children and fantastic staff. She has been nurtured, encouraged and supported, and has made brilliant progress as well as having an absolutely amazing time.
Like most special schools, Fort Royal has to work within a limited budget and relies on the support of the community to provide additional funding for equipment and activities. The Friends of Fort Royal is run by volunteers who work tirelessly to fundraise for things such as playground equipment, arts activities and an annual visit from Father Christmas and his reindeer, things which Heidi has benefited from during her time at Fort Royal.
Now Heidi is moving on to high school, I wanted to give something back to this amazing school. So when they asked for volunteers to run the Worcester half marathon I couldn't say no.
Please give generously to support a fantastic school and enhance the experience of some very special children.
Thank you!!
