Hymnathon · 4 January 2024

Our mission is to nurture the talent of every young musician in London, in particular from families who are unable to pay the costs of ongoing tuition. Our programmes increase diversity and promote inclusion, and offer opportunity to children who simply wouldn’t otherwise have access.

Story

On Thursday 4th and Friday 5th January, I will be sightreading all the way through 'Hymns Ancient and Modern (revised version)'. That means I'll be playing for about 13 hours in total, with just a few short breaks and one night's sleep! There are 533 hymns in total. I will be streaming the hymnathon live on YouTube. Make sure you are subscribed to Stop Motion Hamster to watch ( https://www.youtube.com/@stopmotionhamster )

I am raising money for the London Music Fund, which helps children learn musical instruments. I think all children should learn an instrument because it is educational and a great way to spend your time. The Mark Bushby Scholarship Fund is raising money for two scholars to learn instruments for four years.
