Story

As I get older and, I like to think, wiser and stupider in equal measure I have come to the realisation that keeping myself healthy is key to keeping up with two small humans.

I have also realised that running provides the space I need to reset from those two small humans who, ironically, run my life.

I run to stop the feeling of being over-run!

Hackney Half 2025 will be my 3rd half marathon in as many years and what better cause to shine a spotlight on than the wonderful work that the National AIDS Trust do day in and day out.

The National AIDS Trust challenge injustice and campaign for the human rights of everyone affected by HIV.

They are working tirelessly to stop new HIV transmissions, to end stigma and discrimination and to help those living with HIV to live healthier and more empowered lives.

Their expertise, research and advocacy secure lasting change to the lives of people living with and at risk of HIV.

They provide a safe space where discrimination and injustice are not tolerated and where, especially in these divisive times, being an ally is more important than ever before.

With whatever you can spare please consider supporting the National AIDS Trust and one desperate woman on the run!
