Helping those affected by dementia to remain integrated in the community has a major impact on their quality of life. We provide a range of services and activities which help them, and their carers, to remain active and respected, breaking down barriers to create a dementia-friendly community.

Story

Donate and challenge me to do something fun, crazy, scary, creative in aid of dementia support - put your challenge in the comments!

In 2020, our beloved mum was diagnosed with frontal temporal dementia, a rare and rapidly progressing form of the disease. This diagnosis was an awful shock for our family. Over the past few years, we have witnessed the devastating effects of this condition and have come to understand just how crucial support is for carers, friends, family, and of course, the person suffering from dementia.

In Bedford, we are fortunate to have a wonderful charity called Tibbs Dementia Foundation that does fantastic work in supporting those affected by dementia. They offer invaluable resources such as music workshops, carers workshops, and one-on-one help. This support has already made a significant difference in our lives, especially for our dad.

I am determined to give back to this incredible charity and need your help! I invite you to challenge me to something fun, crazy, creative, or even a little scary (but please no running over 5k as I have a dodgy right hip). I know these are tough economic times; however, if you can spare £10-20 it would make such an impact on Tibbs Dementia Foundation. Of course, any amount you can contribute is greatly appreciated. I promise to honour all challenges and would love for you to join me in whatever you nominate!

Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by dementia.
