Update 19th April- one week to go! 🥴
With the London Marathon just one week away, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you. Your incredible support, through generous sponsorships, kind messages, and for putting up with me talking endlessly about the London marathon has meant so much.
Through a long, wet UK winter with more soggy runs than I can count, I have somehow managed to run nearly 1,000km to get here. With your support we have raised over £7,500 for the incredible Sue Ryder charity and I know they are so very grateful.
For anyone who would like to follow along on the day, you can track me using the official app. My bib number is 77326, and I will be starting at 10:57.
I am not chasing a time, my only goal is to get to the finish line on the Mall and enjoy the experience.
Thank you

About Me
Many of you will know that I recently celebrated my 60th Birthday and to recognize this milestone I wrote a list of 60 'things' to do in my 60th year. In a rash moment I added running the London Marathon to my list. This is by far the most challenging of my list of 'things' and one that will fully stretch my limited running ability & fitness to the max.
I applied for and got a place through Sue Ryder, a charity that has had a huge impact and provided significant support at a time of need for great friends and family members.
I am so very grateful to Sue Ryder for trusting me with one of their precious places to run the London Marathon & raise such critical funds for them to continue the amazing support they provide to make sure that everyone approaching the end of life or living with grief can access the support they need.
Please support me to help raise these much needed funds. Your most generous support is very much helping me through the many wet winter runs and my questionable life choices!
Thank you x
