At 51, the prospect of travelling to China with a group of people I don't know is, quite frankly, terrifying. Somewhere along the way I've lost my confidence (together with my fitness!), but hearing about the truly amazing support that Visyon offer to young people in our community has made me dig my walking boots out of their hiding place and given me the motivation to help. This won't be an easy challenge and I'm prepared for that. I'm not sure if I'm most worried about the humongous number of steep steps that we'll face on consecutive days, or wild wee-ing! But I'm doing it, I'm being brave and I'm going to help provide support for teenagers who are struggling with much more than dodgy knees and brain fog.
