Story
I am a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist (ACP registered) working in Bexley CAMHS and with a lovely group of colleagues, we will be walking the London Winter Walk marathon (26 miles) at the end of January to raise money for Refuge.
We see on a regular basis the impact of domestic abuse on the mental health of children and young people. One woman in four will experience domestic abuse at some point in her lifetime and on average two women are killed each week in England and Wales by a current or former partner.
Refuge is the largest single provider of specialist services to survivors of domestic, sexual and gender-based abuse and runs the freephone, 24-hour National Domestic Abuse Helpline that provides the first step to women escaping abuse.
By kindly sponsoring me today you are helping to save and change the lives of thousands of women and their children.
The walk is only two weeks away and I need as much help to reach my target!
Thank you!!
