Story
When dad had his accident on a country road in North Yorkshire on November 25th, he was airlifted to James Cook Hospital, a journey of 30 miles. This incredible service saved many crucial minutes when he was in a critical condition and meant the doctors were able to stabilise him.
Although sadly he passed away 8 days later from his injuries, he would never have had that chance if the Air Ambulance had not been there and saved those crucial minutes on the journey. The team were kind, dedicated and brilliant at their jobs; we want to thank them and give other people the chance to continue to benefit from this incredible service.
The Yorkshire air ambulance receives no funding from the NHS so relies on charitable donations to be able to function, so any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference to this vital service. Many thanks.
