Story
Swimming is a vital skill for kids and adults to have and I am keen to ensure that every kid at St James School have the opportunity to learn to swim during their KS2 years.
The money raised will go towards the school PE budget to encourage and provide access to sports (including swimming) for all kids.
I am taking on the ultimate Swimathon challenge and swimming the Triple 5km. This is 5km (200 x 25m lengths) on each day (28th/29th/30th March). I swim 5km every Sunday with my swim club so I am used to the distance, however not used to doing it 3 days on the trot. This will be a physical and mental challenge as the distance will be completed without stopping. I aim to complete each 5km within 1 hour 45 mins
The Swimathon is the world's largest annual pool-based fundraising swim and pools around the country are dedicating pool time for individuals and teams to take part.
I started swimming at a very young age when my dad threw me into the pool and have loved swimming ever since, whether that be as part of a swim club, with friends or with family.
