Story
Last year, I was diagnosed with EGPA Vasculitis – an ultra-rare autoimmune disease (because obviously, I couldn’t just get something normal, could I!).
It’s been a tough road, but I’ve been very lucky…my stubborn side refused to give up, and I wish I had a pound for every time I muttered ‘I can do it!’ in a stroppy and ungrateful manner when people offered help! Luckily, friends and family ignored me and were always there offering support when I needed it...whether I liked it or not 😊
Now, I’ve set myself a personal challenge: I’m climbing Mt Snowdon to raise money for Vasculitis UK, a brilliant charity that supports patients like me and funds essential research.
Thankfully, I won’t be doing it alone, because my wonderful friends Claire Kimber and Charlie Hockin will be joining me (and probably dragging me up the steeper bits), and of course, Alfie the spaniel will be leading the way with his usual enthusiasm!
Here's how you can help:
For every £10 donated, you'll receive a raffle ticket for the chance to win a free night in a luxury hotel – a little thank you for your generosity :)
Whether you can give a little or a lot, every penny counts, and every share helps. Thank you so much for your support!
Kate, Claire, Charlie...and Alfie!
