We make the discoveries that defeat cancer to improve the lives of patients everywhere

Story

Kate was diagnosed with cancer in 2008 in the UK, although on her first visit to a doctor several months before, a doctor in South America had said it was nothing to worry about. This highlights one of the the major problems with 'Lobular breast cancer' compared to the more common 'Ductal breast cancer': it is hard to diagnose and often hard to see on a mammogram so that it goes undetected for much longer and so becomes much harder to treat effectively and has a greater chance of being metastatic.

One of Kate's final wishes was that anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory do so to aid research into Lobular Breast Cancer. Through the "Lobular Moonshot Project" we have singled out the "Institute for Cancer Research" as the best place to direct any donations as they will be 'ring-fenced' to direct money to Lobular cancer research.

If you wish to learn more about this please go to :

where you can also donate to this cause which was close to Kate's heart.
