Kate's fundraiser for The Queen's Club Foundation

Blenheim Palace Triathlon 2024 · 1 June 2024 to 2 June 2024 ·
I am participating in the Blenheim Palace Triathlon 2024 to raise money for The Queen's Club Foundation which I head up. This will be my first triathlon and I have been training since September 2023 with a fantastic GB Triathlon coach, Courtney Hyde. This is a real challenge for me, as I am not a swimmer or a cyclist and am a fairly slow recreational 5k runner who is regularly beaten by 100s of Park Runners. Courtney is guiding me through this new challenge, providing me with goals, encouragement and discipline.
I am loving the benefit of learning a new sport. Positive experiences like this in sport are what we strive constantly to pass on to those whom we coach in the community outreach work the Foundation delivers. Racket sports have the power to transform lives. They teach us discipline, resilience, and teamwork. They provide a platform for personal growth and development and improve health and social engagement. Unfortunately, not everyone has access to these life-changing opportunities.
Our programmes in tennis, squash, and other racket sports focus in particular on those from lower socio-economic backgrounds and those with disabilities but we support everyone within the local community. We work tirelessly to break down barriers and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances, can experience the transformative power of racket sports.
But we can't do it alone. We need your support to continue our important work. By donating to my fundraising page, you can help make a difference to the lives of individuals who may otherwise never have the chance to pick up a racket.
