Help Us Support Alder Hey – In Honour of Erin 💖
On May 9th and 10th , Gary (Erin’s dad) will take on the National 3 Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon – all within 24 hours – alongside our good friend Connor. On Sunday 13th September Kate (Erin’s mum) will be running the Great North Run with her two amazing friends Nomie and Sally.
We are doing this to raise money for the incredible Alder Hey Children’s Hospital – a place that will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Why Alder Hey?
Our daughter Erin was diagnosed with a serious heart defect – TAPVD (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Drainage) – the day after she was born. At just 18 days old, she underwent life-saving open-heart surgery at Alder Hey.
Also, Sally who is running with us would also like to give back to Alder Hey who also saved her life at 6 months old. Sally also underwent open heart surgery at Alder Hey children’s hospital over 30 years ago!
It’s hard to put into words just how terrifying and devastating it was to not know whether Erin was going to survive. That time felt like an endless blur of fear and uncertainty. Being on the other side of surgery now, with Erin making a full recovery, feels nothing short of a miracle to be able to watch our daughter grow up and reach each milestone that at one time we thought she wouldn’t be given that chance. We’re so incredibly grateful and lucky — not just for the outcome, but for every surgeon, nurse, and medical staff member who cared for her with such professionalism and compassion. Our appreciation for them is immeasurable . They didn’t just treat Erin — they helped carry us as Erin’s parents through the most darkest days of our lives.
Thanks to the world-class care, dedication, and compassion of the staff there, Erin is here with us today. We are forever grateful.

What You Can Do
We’re asking for your support – whether it’s £1 or £100, every donation will help Alder Hey continue their life-saving work for children and families just like ours.
Your generosity, no matter the amount, means the world to us – and will help give more children the chance at life that Erin was given.
⸻
Please donate what you can, share with your friends and family, and help us make a difference.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
