Story
From the minute I came across Home-Start South Warwickshire in 2022 when I attended a fundraising event, it pulled at my heart strings! I had an overwhelming feeling straight away that I wanted to do something to raise money for them.
Home-Start provides vital support to local families who are going through challenging times—offering practical help, emotional support, and friendship when it’s needed most. They step in when parents are struggling, and their work truly changes lives.
This charity is so special to me, and over the years, I’ve seen the real difference they make in our community. That’s why I’ve dedicated myself to fundraising for them—and I’m proud to say I’ve already helped raise nearly £71,000 so far with two very fun and successful "Sparkle Balls" and a very wet and muddy Wolf Run. But I’m not stopping there. Myself and some very trusty friends have set ourselves a personal goal: to reach £100,000 by 2027.
Running the London Marathon for the first time is part of that journey so on the 26th April 2026 that's what I'll be doing! I'm still not even sure if I actually like running but now I'm 40 I thought its something I should try! It’s a huge challenge, but one I’m taking on with determination, a little bit of fear and a whole heap of passion—because I believe so deeply in Home-Start’s mission. Every donation gets me closer to that goal, and more importantly, helps ensure that no family has to face tough times alone.
Thank you so much for your support—it means the world to me, and to the families who rely on Home-Start.
