KKJ’s skydive for St Helen’s Mind

Kate Morris is raising money for St.Helens Mind

Skydive · 10 July 2025

St.Helens Mind is an independent, local charity working with people who are aged 18+ who experience distress or isolation because of their mental health difficulties. We do this by providing a befriending service, social groups, and activities: helping them to play a fuller part in community life.

Story

💚World Mental Health Day💚

Considering its World Mental Health Day, there’s no better day than to say that Myself, Kelsey and Jason will be completing a skydive on the 10th of July 2025; we are overcoming the fears in our MIND and jumping 10,000 feet from a plane. Mental health is close to so many people’s hearts and whilst professionals try their best, there just isn’t enough support out there for people which is why we would like to raise money to help to contribute towards the charity ‘St Helen’s Mind’ to provide a little more support. We have chosen Mind in St Helens as this is our hometown and we believe there are so many people who need help in our area❣️

2 million people are currently stuck on NHS waiting lists to access mental health services and 1 in 4 people struggle with mental health issues. Whilst some of us hide it as best as we can and struggle through the bad days, others are suffering all day, every day, 24/7 and they get no break from it. At some point in our lives, almost everyone will struggle with mental health in one way or another - with themselves, they may live with and support someone who struggles with their mental health or they may have lost a loved one due to mental health.

Most of the time, people don’t even think about the help that is out there and this is where we all come together and encourage people to speak up and to understand that there are charities and places that they can go to for help. Let’s all stand together🫶🏽

All donations are very appreciated - thank you for helping us change lives🥰

“Asking for help is the first step, you are more precious than you’ll ever know”.
