Story
Last year, everything changed for our family when my Dad was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
MND is a cruel condition that affects the nerves controlling movement, gradually causing muscle weakness and loss of mobility. There is no cure, and with no single test available, diagnosis can take a long time, adding to the uncertainty families like ours face.
Despite this, my Dad continues to show incredible strength, bravery and positivity. He inspires us every single day, and I am so proud of him.
On 24th May 2026, I will be running the Great West Half Marathon for my Dad alongside my Mum and Sister. Together, we want to do something positive and raise vital funds for the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA).
The MNDA provides essential support to people living with MND and their families, offering practical help, specialist equipment, expert information and emotional support. They also fund crucial research into new treatments and, one day, a cure.
Every donation truly means so much to us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💙🧡
