In November last year, my mum got diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

Despite having no lump, or symptoms at all, a routine Breast Screening caught the cancer at an early stage.

She has since been through Breast Surgery to remove the cancer and will be proceeding with Radiotherapy in the coming months.

Therefore, in April this year I’ll be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, raising money for Breast Cancer Now. This charity helps provide funding for Breast Cancer research, patient help lines and nurse support, which is incredibly vital to all those impacted.

The support and service my mum has received so far in her journey has been second to none, and without charity's such as Breast Cancer Now, her experience wouldn’t have been the same.

Whilst we’ve still got a way to go, having access to this support, helps guide us, as a family, through a challenging and turbulent period.
