Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. In March 2020 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy followed by chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Myself and my family are doing this run to raise as much money as we can to help all those families affected by a cancer diagnosis and also in memory of my husband's Aunt Ruby. Any donation that you can spare will be greatly appreciated. We cannot wait to take part in Enniskillen Pink Run and hopefully Shane and myself at our age won’t be needing CPR at the end of it.
Every day, six more people in the Western Trust area and each week 30 women receive a breast cancer diagnosis in Northern Ireland. This sobering reality reminds us all that 1 in 2 of us will face a cancer diagnosis in our lifetime. It is a challenge that touches every family, every community, and every heart.
To mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month and following the opening of our new Therapeutic Cancer Support Centre, we are asking you to help us fund our local breast cancer services in the heart of Fermanagh.
Just £60 could fund one hour of breast cancer support at the Centre including counselling, bra fitting, and family support.
We are deeply grateful for the support you have already shown to Cancer Focus Northern Ireland, an organization committed to ensuring that people in Fermanagh can live their fullest lives with access to world-class cancer support, treatment, diagnosis, prevention, and research. Their work brings hope and healing when it is needed most.
All money raised will go towards supporting local people and their families at our Fermanagh Cancer Support centre
