In memory of Nic Williamson: Donations for the Rare Breeds Survival Trust

Kate Pilkington is raising money for Rare Breeds Survival Trust
In memory of Nic Williamson
The Rare Breeds Survival Trust exists to conserve and promote our native British livestock breeds. Whether sheep, cattle, horses, pigs or poultry, these animals are a huge part of the UK’s agricultural heritage and a vital genetic resource to our agricultural future.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Nic, Ann, Roz and Kate spent 28 years devotedly caring for their beloved flock of Soay sheep. Nic had a deep passion for conservation, the countryside and the sheep, who quickly became part of the family. Some of the happiest memories are of everyone chasing around the field trying to catch the flighty sheep for shearing, feeding them sheep nuts and digestive biscuits each morning, and having lively debates around the dinner table about what to name every new addition. At one point, the family’s flock was large enough that they owned around 2% of the entire Soay population.

If you would like to donate to the Rare Breeds Survival Trust, you will be contributing to help conserve and promote this native livestock.
