Story
I'm taking on the challenge of running the Ipswich Half Marathon because I want to help East Anglia's Children's Hospices continue their work supporting families going through the worse situation.
EACH care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions, and our family-centred approach includes specialist nursing care, symptom management nursing, short breaks, well-being activities, therapies, care at end of life, bereavement support, counselling and volunteer services in the home; all meeting the individual needs of the child, young person and whole family.
Only around 15% of their income comes from Government funding and so they rely heavily on fundraising such as this. A donation of £13 could pay one of their amazing Care Assistants for 1 hour, providing essential care to families.
MY STORY!!
In Feb 2023 my niece Isabella sadly passed away from cancer at The Treehouse Children’s Hospice at just 10 months old.
My family have spent the last 2 years completing events in her memory to raise money for EACH so the amazing support they give can be continued.
