Story
Those who know me know I love a run, but this one is going to be my most special yet.❤️🌎
In April I'm running the 2026 London Marathon for ActionAid, whose work I've supported and admired for many years.
What is ActionAid?
ActionAid's vision is to achieve a more just, equitable, and sustainable future. Specifically, they campaign tirelessly to support women and children across the globe experiencing violence, poverty, marginalisation, and conflict.
Whether through rapid response to humanitarian crises or ongoing programmes to end harmful practices such as FGM, ActionAid works directly with communities to end gender-based violence and discrimination. By addressing these inequities, ActionAid is tackling the roots causes of poverty and injustice, so that whole communities can benefit.
I feel particularly passionate about their ongoing work supplying sanitary products in conflict zones. Refugees or those living through humanitarian crises are often left to manage their periods using improvised, unhygienic, and unsafe methods. Facilitating access to sanitary products prevents infection and restores dignity to those in an already extremely vulnerable position.
Other pertinent campaigns include building climate crisis resilience with community leaders in the Global South, and supporting small businesses to generate income for their families in occupied Palestine.

What am I doing?
I've always wanted to run the London Marathon, so absolutely jumped at the opportunity to take part alongside one of my favourite charities. I'm feeling really motivated and promise to do everything in my power to avoid injury (my PureGym subscription lives on).
If you are in a position to give, I really do appreciate any support to reach my target - thank you so much. Your donation will be sent directly to ActionAid in a fast and secure way via JustGiving. ❤️❤️❤️
