Story
On 29 September I'll be doing the Sheffield 10k with the Under the Stars walking team which will include members of staff, volunteers and workshop participants. Disclaimer: I won't be running the course but will be walking! (I love running but my back doesn't!!)

Under the Stars
Under the Stars is an arts and events charity for people with learning disabilities. We believe in their talent. We believe in their creativity. We believe in them. Through our workshops and events, we work with our participants to unlock their potential and change lives.
Why we are here
We empower and enable people with learning disabilities by developing their individual talent, skills, confidence and independence. Working closely with local artists, musicians, venues, schools, community groups and arts organisations, we give our learners opportunities to share their talents and connect with the community. We make sure that they are seen in places where people with a disability are often hidden.
I have seen first hand the amazing work Under the Stars do. And seen/heard brilliant performances from performers that are thought provoking, moving and funny. Music and drama are empowering mediums and they should be available and open to everyone.
