Story

On 5th July 2025, I’m walking 26.2 miles along the stunning – and seriously hilly – Gower Peninsula to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

This will be my third marathon walk, and it's becoming clear it’ll be the toughest one yet! The Gower is beautiful but brutal – and this challenge is about so much more than just the miles.

I’m walking with a truly incredible team of women – each one having been touched by cancer in some way. Whether through their own diagnosis or supporting someone we love, we all know how devastating the journey can be and how important Macmillan’s support is when facing the unthinkable.

From all the training we’ve done so far (and trust me, there’s been a lot!), we know this walk won’t just test our legs – it’s going to test our hearts too. The hills will be hard, but the emotional ups and downs might be even tougher.

I’d be very grateful if you could help me reach my £250 pledge – an amount which can pay for a Macmillan Nurse for one day. That could provide someone living with cancer and their family the essential medical, practical and emotional support they need.

There are currently 3 million people living with cancer in the UK. It’s Macmillan’s goal to be there for everyone from the moment of diagnosis – but they can’t do that without donations from incredible people like you.

Thank you so much for any support you can give. 💚
