🏔️ Climbing Kilimanjaro for Rowcroft Hospice — In Loving Memory of Mum
A Mother-Son Journey to the Roof of Africa, Fuelled by Love and Gratitude
In September 2026, Lucas and I are taking on the challenge of a lifetime: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest free-standing mountain in the world. But this isn’t just about reaching the summit — it’s about honouring someone incredibly special and giving back to those who gave so much to us.
We’re doing this in memory of my wonderful Mum and Lucas's Grandma, who passed away after a courageous battle with illness. In her final weeks, she was cared for by Rowcroft’s Hospice at Home team — a group of extraordinary people who brought comfort, dignity, and compassion into our home when we needed it most.
Their support was nothing short of life-changing. Now, we want to help ensure other families can receive the same care and kindness when facing the most difficult of times.
💜 Why Rowcroft Hospice?
Rowcroft Hospice provides specialist palliative care to people living with life-limiting illnesses across South Devon. Their Hospice at Home service allows patients to spend their final days in the place they love most — surrounded by family, in peace, and with expert support.
This care is provided free of charge, but it’s only possible thanks to the generosity of people like you.
We’ll be trekking through rainforest, alpine desert, and arctic summit zones — pushing ourselves physically and emotionally. But every step we take will be powered by your support and the memory of Mum’s strength and spirit.
Please consider donating whatever you can — every contribution, big or small, makes a difference. And if you’re unable to give right now, sharing this page with your friends and family would mean the world to us.
Thank you for helping us turn grief into gratitude, and for walking this path with us — all the way to the summit.
