Story
This year marks 100 years since the first woman swam the English Channel, and I felt so incredibly lucky to take on this challenge of a lifetime- to swim the Channel in a relay team!
A century ago, a woman proved what was possible — and I’m swimming in her wake, adding my own small chapter to that story of strength.
I’m raising money for Aspire, a UK charity that supports people living with spinal injuries. They provide practical help in rebuilding independence, resilience and hope — values that resonate deeply with me.
As a mother of three young children and a business owner, life is full, noisy, and beautifully demanding. Swimming is the place where I feel like myself. It’s the silence I crave, the space I need. In the water I feel calm, capable, and grounded.
Taking on the English Channel is a huge challenge, but it’s also a celebration:
💙 of women who push boundaries
💙 of mothers who carve out space for themselves
💙 of strength that grows in the middle of everyday life
💙 of showing my children what courage and strength looks like, especially when something feels big and slightly scary
I’m so excited, nervous, and incredibly proud to be doing this — not just as a swimmer, but as a woman standing on the shoulders of those who came before, while raising funds for a charity that helps people rebuild their lives after unimaginable change.
Thank you so much for supporting me. Your donations, your encouragement, and even your shares mean more than you know.
Here’s to strong women who do incredible things! 💙🩵💙🩵💙🩵
