Story
In April 2026, I will be taking on the huge challenge of running the London Landmarks Half Marathon. Yes you read that right, I’ve become a runner girl and signed up to a half marathon - in my 30s - what a shock, I’m basically a meme.
And what an even bigger shock, I’m raising money for Anthony Nolan. It’s got to the point that I don’t know what I wouldn’t do for them! (The full marathon is the answer.)
Training for this was the first time I’d run a 5k, so this really is a big deal for me!! (Sorry to everyone who has heard me banging on about the fact that I run now.) I did try back in the summer of 2020, but never quite finished couch to 5k, oops. And please don’t judge me if I have to walk part of this 🤣
And raising money for Anthony Nolan - as always - is super important. I know first hand working there for over 7 years the incredible work we do and couldn’t not raise money again. Whether the funds goes to patient appeals, adding people to the Anthony Nolan stem cell register, research, project work, advocating for better patient care, paying salaries so we can continue doing what we do or generally helping to leave the lights on, it really does help.
So thank you so much in advance for donating whatever you can, it really will make a massive difference.
Anthony Nolan saves and improves the lives of people with blood cancer and blood disorders. Whether it be through making lifesaving connections between patients and incredible strangers who are ready to donate their stem cells, or funding ground-breaking research that could transform the future for more patients, or even providing the best experience for every patient before, during and after transplant.
