I'm taking on BIBS Mile-A-Day in May challenge - to help raise fund for Buscot Ward in Royal Berkshire Hospital. This charity provided vital support to my dear friend Catie and her family after the birth of her baby boy, Mateo.

Mateo was born with a very rare brain condition and tragically passed away at just three months old. During his time at the hospital, BIBS compassionate team were there for Mateo’s family, offering post natal care and comfort when they needed it most, helping them navigate the unimaginable grief of losing a child.

Mateo’s story is a powerful reminder of how essential kindness and dedicated support are during life’s most challenging moments. The courage and resilience shown by Mateo and his family continue to inspire me, and I want to help ensure that other families facing similar heartbreak can find the same comfort and care.
