Kath's story
On 26th September 2025, myself and friend, Zoe will be walking an epic 42km journey through London, following the Thames Path and trekking a marathon distance.
I will be raising money the charity Shout, who provide mental health support for anyone struggling across the UK; your donation will make a huge difference.
Thank you all in advance!

The Challenge:
The walk takes us through the changing landscape of the leafy areas of west London through to the bustling city sights futher in the east. We will start early morning at Walton on Thames; after enjoying several kilometres along the Thames, we'll cut across the green spaces of Bushy Park and Richmond Park, rejoining the Thames near Barnes. We'll walk past Wandsworth to the beautiful Battersea Park, before heading over the bridge to pass right next to the Houses of Parliament.
Next, we'll head through the hubbub of the South Bank, where you’ll see the famous sights of the Golden Hinde and London Bridge before finally finishing at .
About Shout:
Shout is the UK's first and only free, confidential 24/7 text messaging service for anyone struggling to cope. They are powered by Mental Health Innovations charity.
Since Shout was launched in 2019, they have supported over 2.8 million conversations with 900,000 children, young people and adults in distress; 43% of these have not asked for help anywhere else. They play a crucial role in supporting traditional services across the UK, particulary at night when 75% of texters reach out to Shout.
Every minute someone texts Shout for a potentially life-saving conversation.
