In April 2026, I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon, raising money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

I’m doing this in memory of three very special people. Two of my greatest friends, Kitty and Mike, died 16 years ago — Kitty from lymphoma and leukaemia, and Mike from cholangiocarcinoma. I had hoped to do this for the 15-year anniversary of their death but I didn’t quite get my act together last year. It was with Kitty that I did my first ever half marathon in 2005!!!

What truly spurred me on this year was the loss of another friend and work colleague, Debbie, who died earlier this year from gallbladder cancer.

Kitty was cared for at the Royal Marsden, and so it feels especially meaningful to take this opportunity to raise money for the Marsden, while honouring all their memories. xxx
