The iconic London Marathon needs no introduction, it's is likely to be on the 'to do' list for every running enthusiast and maybe even a dream for non runners alike!

Story

Thanks to a last-minute drop-out, I’ve been incredibly lucky to be offered a London Marathon place by Winston’s Wish. With just shy of ten weeks’ notice, I’m lacing up my trainers and throwing myself into training in earnest.

This charity means more to me than I can easily put into words. When my mum died, my brother and I were just six and seven years old. Winston’s Wish supported us through an incredibly difficult time, helping us to understand our grief and feel less alone. Their work made a lasting difference to our lives, and I’m so grateful for everything they do for bereaved children and families.

By supporting my marathon challenge, you’ll be helping Winston’s Wish continue this vital work:

- £8 could provide a set of crafts and activities, including materials to make a memory jar to help children remember special moments with their loved one.

- £12 could fund a memory box for a child, giving them a safe place to keep treasured objects and memories.

- £26 could cover the cost of an online information session led by a trained bereavement support worker.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help ensure that no child has to face bereavement alone. Thank you so much for your support — it truly means the world to me.
