Rainbow Trust Children's Charity supports families who have a child with a serious or life-threatening illness. Rainbow Trust pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker who enables them to make the most of time together, giving them practical and emotional support.

Story

During my time working at Rainbow Trust I have only ever taken on one physical challenge which was a 7K muddy assault course. It took just over an hour and we were in the pub by 2pm. This was also 9 years ago!! So before it’s too late, I want to do something that feels like a real achievement and Ive managed to rope in two of our good friends and my husband too.

Together we are probably the most unlikely and possibly incapable team to take on this event.

On the 26th April the four of us will be taking on the a 50km cycle, 3.2km paddle and a 12.5km hike to the highest point in the Lake District - Hellvellyn.

If you know me and are thinking of sponsoring us, then you probably already know about Rainbow Trust. It’s the charity every parent hopes they will never need, but for those that do it’s a lifeline and can be the difference between a family coping of falling apart.

This is hugely outside my comfort zone and I’m genuinely terrified, so thank you for your support!
