Headway East Lothian makes a real difference to those who have suffered an acquired brain injury. HEL is especially effective as it supports "the whole", taking an interest in and helping family, carers and others involved in the lives of the ABI sufferer. They receive no statutory funding and are often the only lifeline for folk whose lives and those of their families have been upturned changed beyond recognition.
