Story
A mere 19 years after my last half marathon, I am planning to run the Lewa Safari Half Marathon on Saturday June 28th 2025 to raise vital funds for Tusk.
Globally acclaimed as one of the toughest marathon courses in the world due to the altitude, heat, terrain and dust... I am hoping that my training in Wiltshire will get me through to the finish, eventually! I've even tried running up Martinsell Hill - which hurt!
Although this challenge is a truly daunting prospect, on the bright side, I am looking forward to admiring some of Africa's finest views in slow motion as I slog through 21k :)
If you are able to support me, every penny will go straight to Tusk, a truly incredible charity supporting some of the planet's most endangered wildlife species and the inspirational communities that help protect them.
Tusk's work is honestly awe-inspiring and represents such a positive force in this world full of uncertainty. Some reasons I am very proud to fundraise for Tusk include:
- No less than 46 endangered species directly benefit from Tusk's projects.
- Tusk has secured over 40 million hectares of landscape for wildlife.
- Over 4,500 people are employed directly by Tusk partners.
- And more than 4million + benefit indirectly from Tusk's work.
Thank you for supporting another crazy scheme for a genuinely wonderful cause!
