Fund the Future generation of mental health practitioners

The Chicago School of Professional Psychology's 2022 Annual Giving Campaign

Story

As we witness the nation's growing mental health needs, we also experience significant disparities in mental health access faced by underrepresented communities. With a shortage of practitioners with the skills, orientations, and interests needed to serve diverse populations, many people are going without proper care.

Consider this:

Suicide is the second-leading cause of death among people age 15 to 24 in the U.S.

Nearly 20% of high school students report serious thoughts of suicide and 9% have made an attempt to take their lives, according to the National Alliance on Mental Illness.

At the Chicago School, we can change these outcomes by educating the mental health practitioners we need to address the trauma of COVID and the world we are living in.

Those of you who know me - I never use my personal platforms to promote my employers or clients.

This time is different. So much of what we face today is about poor or non-existent mental health services - from homelessness, substance abuse, racial trauma, PTSD and more. More mental health practitioners are the key - that's what we do at The Chicago School.

That's why I joined The Chicago School.

Can you join me by donating to the Fund the Future project at The Chicago School? This funding will go to directly underwrite students through scholarships and financial aid, faculty resources and program support including technology and practicum oversight.

Money goes to changing the outcome. One student at a time. As a leading nonprofit university, we are devoted to creating a pipeline of professionals who can fundamentally improve the health and well-being for generations to come.

Now through December 31, I invite you to join me in making a personal contribution to Fund the Future. Your investment will accelerate our ability to advance long-lasting social change.

All donations made through this page to TCSPP are tax deductible!!!
