Swimming across Belfast Lough · 17 June 2023

Belfast Lough Sailability is established for the relief of disability and the advancement of education; namely sailing by disabled people, involving training, recreation and competition: and to promote the preservation of health and sefety therein.

Story

I am raising money for Belfast Lough Sailability a local charity that seeks to bring the joy of sailing and boating to disabled and disadvantaged people across Northern Ireland. It is a non-profit organization run entirely by a team of dedicated volunteers.

On the 17th June, with a small group of swimmers I will be swimming across Belfast Lough from Grey Point Fort to Carrickfergus Castle, a distance of 5.6km or 3.5 miles. This is a big challenge for me and the furthest I will swim in the open sea. I really hope the sea is calm on the day!

I do hope you can support me in this very worthwhile cause. Thank you
