Story
For those that know me (and those that don't) it's been a tough few years where my physical and mental wellbeing has been tested to the limits time and time again.
Plus having just turned 50 this year I wanted to prove to myself and others that you can still do amazing things, even if you've had or are having a tough time. So I thought why not run a half marathon!!
I wanted to run it for a cause close to my heart - Alzheimer’s Society. I know a few people who suffer with dementia and some that have sadly passed away. It is a painfully cruel illness to witness, slowly stealing a person's memories and identity. Seeing the heavy toll it takes on both them and their families is completely heartbreaking. I want to help those who are living with dementia today, and provide hope for the future where one day dementia will no longer devastate lives.
Your support is greatly appreciated and will make a massive difference. It will keep me motivated during the Great North Run!
Thank you xx
