Story
The Challange:
On July 6th, 2025, I'll tackle the Croyde Ocean Triathlon (Sprint Distance). Known for its 'Stunning and Savage' course, this challenge demands early morning running, cycling and swimming whilst balancing mum madness and Physiotherapy!
I've already managed 4 months of consistent training, including:
- Swim lessons (apparently you can't do a triathlon breaststroke!)
- Getting used to a road bike (just about stopped falling off)
- And many many runs!
Alongside the physical challenge, I am fundraising for two meaningful causes, splitting donations equally between Plastic Free North Devon and the Bishop's Tawton PTFA.
Plastic Free North Devon:
A local environmental charity that aims to inspire North Devon residents, tourists and businesses to drastically reduce their consumption of single-use plastics. With young family who love the ocean and their natural surroundings supporting a charity committed to creating a healthier environment is an easy choice to make.
Bishop's Tawton PTFA:
Help us with our final push to be able to fund the installation of an outdoor classroom to enhance the forest school provision at Bishops Tawton Primary School. With limited classroom space and stretched resources, a practical and functional outdoor space will be hugely beneficial to the whole school community.
Through many successful events and support; the Bishops Tawton PTFA have been able to give a large donation towards this project. It would be great to fund the whole project and not use valuable school resources which can be used elsewhere. Anything you can donate to help us reach our final target will be greatly appreciated!
