Story
This November, my fantastic Sales & Marketing team are taking on the challenge of completing 1,000 active miles between us, and somehow I've signed myself up to do 100 of them!
Now, if you know me well, you'll know two things: I don't do much exercise, and I don't have much spare time! So, committing to walking or running an average of 5km every single day throughout November is going to be quite the challenge! π
You'll also know how much I love good food and how passionate I am about feeding children well and helping them understand where their food comes from. That's why I've chosen to raise money for the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. π
Bumblebees play a vital role in pollinating the crops that produce so much of the food we enjoy. Without them, our food chain, biodiversity and environment would look very different. Protecting these little creatures is something I really believe in.
Through my work at Accent Catering, we also help educate school children about the importance of British wild bees through school talks, themed lunches and food education activities. It's a cause that connects perfectly with what we do.
And there's even more reason to donate!
This challenge is part of Accent Catering's 25th Anniversary celebrations, where we're aiming to raise Β£25,000 for 25 charities between September 2026 and May 2027.
Even better, Accent will match every Β£1 donated, up to Β£1,000 per charity! So your donation could make twice the difference.
Whether it's Β£2, Β£5 or a little more, every donation will give me that extra push to get my trainers on, get outside and clock up those miles (even when I'd much rather be sitting down with a glass of wine! π·).
