Kathryn's Enfield GC fundraiser for Age UK Enfield

Kathryn Tiddy is raising money for Age UK Enfield
Our mission is to ensure older people in Enfield feel valued, are active and connected and able to Iive the life they choose. We provide a wide range of services and activities and, as an independent charity, we rely on the generous support of donors to enable us to help and support this community.

Story

Having seen my mum need increasing help as she ages and slowly succumbs to dementia I wish I’d been aware of the support that was available from organisations such as Age UK. By choosing Age UK Enfield as my Captain’s charity for 2026 I hope that not only will we raise much needed funds for the charity, but that all club members will become aware of the work that they do, the services they provide, the activities that they organise that could benefit them directly or indirectly in the future. For our younger members Age UK Enfield can provide support when helping elderly parents, for our active older members there are multiple activities that can supplement golf to keep fit and fulfilled and for those needing additional support there is help available.

Age UK Enfield organise lots of activities including aerobics, dance classes, cycling, tech help, singing, walking and much more. Plus they run a dementia day care service at the brand new Mabel Churn Centre in Brimsdown.

Age UK Enfield, although part of the Age UK national network, is a local independent charity and has to raise its own funds to survive and deliver the many services benefiting the older community of the Borough.
