This year, I am running the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon as a member of Team Mission United in support of United Way of Long Island’s Mission United program, which serves veterans and their families across Long Island. 🇺🇸Through this program, veterans are connected to life-changing resources—including job training, housing support, financial assistance, and mental health services—helping them transition to civilian life.

I am running for Team Mission United because its mission to empower veterans and their families through career training, education, and community support deeply resonates with me. As a fourth-generation service member and the daughter of two Army veterans, I have spent my entire life as an Army brat—attending eight schools across ten states. Growing up in military communities shaped my resilience, adaptability, and strong sense of duty, while giving me firsthand insight into the challenges that service members and their families face.

Now, as a cadet at the United States Military Academy preparing to commission as a Second Lieutenant in spring 2027, I see a strong connection between this mission and the values instilled in me at West Point. My education and training emphasize leadership, discipline, and service to others—principles that align directly with the goal of helping veterans succeed in their careers and communities. Running for Team Mission United allows me to combine my passion for endurance sports with a meaningful way to give back to the military community that has shaped my life.
