Story
I'm cycling the coast to coast 140 miles from Whitehaven to Sunderland in support of the North East Trust for Aphasia.
NETA is an amazing small charity that provides a community of fun, friendship, laughter and support for people living with aphasia across the North of England .
Aphasia causes difficulty with communicating due to damage to the language centres in the brain. Communication is so important in our lives, losing it is devastating, and isolating. NETA is a life line.
This is my third attempt at the Coast to Coast. The first was in my 30's by bike - I got as far as Allendale Heads before having to give up due to a massive storm with falling trees. The second was in my 40's when we attempted to walk it before giving up in Richmond after 4 days of torrential rain, leaking boots and rotten feet. So, in my 50's I fear my chances for success are low ... so pleeeaaase support and motivate me by donating to this cause! You never know I might make it (if there's a good tail wind)
