Story

Titty Trail is an 11 mile walk to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of breast cancer, highlight the importance of screening uptake and boost funds for local cancer services.

Since the first event in 2023, Titty Trail has raised over £50,000 for local cancer services.

Here are a few examples of how fundraising can help people living with cancer:

• £5 buys a thermometer for a chemotherapy patient - it is crucial for patients to monitor their temperature between treatments to make sure they aren’t displaying signs of Sepsis.

• £10 funds an Open Water Swimming session for a breast cancer patient - a support group to help mental and physical wellbeing to those who have undergone treatment for breast cancer.

• £20 funds a Horticultural Therapy Session for a cancer patient - living well with and beyond cancer is extremely important. Horticultural therapy is proven to have a positive impact on physical and mental wellbeing.

• £75 funds Yoga/Tai Chi Class for 13 people - helping to get patients back into exercise after treatment through gentle movement.

• £160 funds a wig voucher for patient experiencing hair loss as a result of their treatment.
