Story
Hi everyone,
This May, I’ll be running a 10K in Hyde Park to raise funds for Opora - a charity supporting Ukrainians in the UK.
Since the start of the war, millions of Ukrainians have had to leave their homes and rebuild their lives from scratch in a completely new country. It’s something that happened suddenly and not by choice, which makes everything even harder.
Opora has been doing an incredible job supporting people through this - providing practical help, guidance, and a sense of community for thousands of Ukrainians across the UK.
They are currently working on expanding their support, including launching a mental health programme, which I personally feel is incredibly important.
Over the past year, I’ve also had and currently going through my own challenges with mental health, and I’ve found running to be one of the things that genuinely helps me. So this 10K feels like something very personal - a small challenge for me (AND my knees 😅), but also a way to support a cause that really matters.
If you’re able to donate, even a small amount, I would really appreciate it. Every contribution helps Opora continue their work and support those who need it most.
Thank you so much for reading and for your support 🤍
