Story
🏃♀️ I’m running the Sydney Marathon for The True Athlete Project (TAP) 💙
Sport has shaped my life. I’ve competed at a high level, achieved national titles, and met county standards 🏅 While these experiences brought discipline, confidence, and opportunity, they also exposed me to the intense mental pressures that often come with competitive sport.
I’ve seen firsthand how a win-at-all-costs culture can lead to burnout, anxiety, and athletes losing their love for the sport they once enjoyed. This is a huge reason why I went on to study Psychology, and why my dissertation focused on athlete burnout and mental wellbeing in sport 🧠📚
That’s why I’m incredibly proud to be running for The True Athlete Project (TAP) 🌍
TAP is a world leader in using sport as a force for good, with a strong focus on supporting the mental health and wellbeing of children, young people, athletes, and coaches — from grassroots to elite level 🤍 Their work helps create healthier, more compassionate sporting environments where people are valued as humans, not just performers.
I’ll be running the Sydney Marathon — my first ever marathon and my first one in Australia 🇦🇺✨ Every kilometre represents not just a physical challenge, but a commitment to better mental health and positive change through sport.
Any donation, big or small, helps TAP continue their vital work 💫
Thank you so much for supporting me and this incredible cause — it truly means the world 💙
