Story
In 2022, my sister Sarah was diagnosed with a brain tumour. She faced brain surgery, targeted radiotherapy, and now relies on anti‑seizure medication. It was terrifying for all of us — but Sarah met every moment with courage, positivity, and a determination to protect the people she loves from worry.
Recently, we received the devastating news that two more tumours have been found, and she will be undergoing brain surgery again. This will be the third cancer Sarah has had to fight. Watching someone you love gather themselves to go through it all once more is incredibly hard, but Sarah continues to show extraordinary strength, compassion, and resilience. Even now, she focuses more on how everyone else is feeling than on what she is facing.
I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise funds for The Brain Tumour Charity, whose work is vital — from funding research to providing support for patients and families navigating the fear and uncertainty that comes with a diagnosis.
Any sponsorship, no matter how small, would mean so much. Your support will help the charity continue their life‑changing work and honour the strength of people like Sarah who face the unimaginable with courage.
